Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Location: Remote (DC, NYC, San Francisco)

Job Type: W2 Contract 

Job Duration: 12+ months with possible extension

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks
  2. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedure.
  3. Provide expert guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity best practices and industry standards
  4. Collaborate with clients to design and implement security controls and measures
  5. Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses
  6. Monitor and analyze security incidents and respond to cybersecurity breaches or threats
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats
  8. Provide training and awareness programs to educate clients on cybersecurity best practices
  9. Assist in incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a cybersecurity incident
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of cybersecurity measures across all systems and processes
  11. Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firms respectful and courteous work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Consultant, Cybersecurity Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, are highly desirable
