Responsibilities

  • This remote position must be located in Texas, reporting to the Director of Compliance
  • You will be responsible for ensuring Related Affordable is operating in compliance with all affordable housing program guidelines (LIHTC, PBS8, PBV, RAD, etc.), regulatory agreements, and company policies and procedures
  • This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with coworkers located in other areas of the country
  • Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and other state and local requirements
  • Maintaining proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations
  • Independently review and approve move-in and transfer files to ensure applicants meet income and program eligibility criteria
  • Review initial qualifying files for accuracy and program compliance and submit to third-party reviewers; Track qualification status and works with the Director of Compliance to provide clear and accurate reporting on lease-ups, move-ins, etc
  • Review completed recertification to ensure program compliance
  • Perform both onsite and remote audits to confirm compliance with program requirement through follow-up and closure
  • Monitor waitlists, LAP plans and EIV master binders for compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Review and submit responses for LIHTC file audits and MORs; coordinate with affordable programming and site teams to get corrections
  • Submit and assist in the drafting and review of timely responses to agency audits; coordinate with Affordable Programming as needed
  • Hold weekly office hours to assist the operations teams with questions, file corrections and audit corrections
  • Remain familiar with current U.S
  • Audit proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations
  • Assist analysts with annual reporting as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
