Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is a detail oriented individual accustomed to working on a deadline driven schedule
- 5+ years of relevant experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC and other affordable housing programs is required
- Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, Reasonable Accommodation Requests, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, Real Estate Licensing

- Proven ability to build trust with members of a community with different backgrounds, motivations, and concerns in order to obtain information and solve problems
- Ability to travel at least once per month, as well as, on an as needed basis (may include up to 30% travel)

Responsibilities
- This remote position must be located in Texas, reporting to the Director of Compliance
- You will be responsible for ensuring Related Affordable is operating in compliance with all affordable housing program guidelines (LIHTC, PBS8, PBV, RAD, etc.), regulatory agreements, and company policies and procedures
- This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with coworkers located in other areas of the country
- Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and other state and local requirements
- Maintaining proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations
- Independently review and approve move-in and transfer files to ensure applicants meet income and program eligibility criteria
- Review initial qualifying files for accuracy and program compliance and submit to third-party reviewers; Track qualification status and works with the Director of Compliance to provide clear and accurate reporting on lease-ups, move-ins, etc
- Review completed recertification to ensure program compliance
- Perform both onsite and remote audits to confirm compliance with program requirement through follow-up and closure
- Monitor waitlists, LAP plans and EIV master binders for compliance with federal and state regulations
- Review and submit responses for LIHTC file audits and MORs; coordinate with affordable programming and site teams to get corrections
- Submit and assist in the drafting and review of timely responses to agency audits; coordinate with Affordable Programming as needed
- Hold weekly office hours to assist the operations teams with questions, file corrections and audit corrections
- Remain familiar with current U.S
- Audit proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations
- Assist analysts with annual reporting as needed
- Other duties as assigned
